San Diego Momma

Sharing some humor, a bit of writing and way too much information

On The Road Again

Etcetera

I’m compelled to use clichés today, I think it’s because I’m tired. So very, very tired. Must be the large growth inside my belly, which I’ve known about for a year, but tests turned up nothing and now there’s no denying something is inside me and I’m just hoping it’s not cancerous. Or a baby.

But because of my extremoid exhaustion, I’ve relied on turns of a phrase and photos to tell the story of last night, when my fellow San Diego bloggers and I welcomed Bossy to town.

First, let me say, what a great evening (cliché alert!). I loved connecting with Jamie (lovely writer, caring mom, fun chick), Aaryn (spitfire, zesty, very write-ticious), Jenn (zen, confident, insightful), Kate (grounded, centered, funny), and of course, Bossy (elegant, perceptive, intelligent). (Please note these adjectives apply in some way, to all).

Anyway. My first thought was to show a title that started, “Some Nuts…”

then show a picture like this:

Couch Chicks

Followed by the words:

“…Are all they’re cracked up to be.”

Then, I thought: these ladies aren’t nuts. I’m projecting.

So that’s out.

I moved on to:

“All This…”

Dynamic Duo

Camera Exchange

Getting to Know You

Enrichment

Camerapalooza

Hot Chick

Shoeganza

…AND a bag of chips.

Yes, Thanks.

Because it was.

p.s. Today I go to the doctor for stomach lump investigation and a clichéctomy.

p.p.s. We missed you, Cheri.

You’ve TOTALLY redeemed your photo skills.

Great adjectives. Oh, you’re good Deb.

Great post, great pics but…stomach lump? Wha??? I wish you would have shared last night and I hope you didn’t simply because you wanted to forget about it for the evening and not because you couldn’t get a word in edgewise. I’ll be thinking of you today as you go to the doctor.

I hope the stomach thing is nothing too serious.

My family is rolling on the floor laughing at the thought of me being described as “zen.”

When are we doing this again?!
