Saturday Snippets

March 30th, 2008

Last night, our friends celebrated their five-year wedding anniversary with a party.

It’d probably be cuter if I showed them together.

There were other kissy pictures too. But because I made them do this 500 times and only one of the photos turned out, this is what we get.

At the party, there was some of this:

And some of this:

And a little of this:

Screeeeech…

Buzz kill.

Wait. Is that my husband?

Why he’s usually so animated, so joie de vivre, so not reading a book at parties!

Honey!
That better be “Why My Wife is So Awesome, The Anthology (Pt. 1) (in a five-book series) (film in the works) (my part played by Pamela Anderson Lee Rock Salomon).

Are you kidding me?

Well, he is a tile and stone contractor. Maybe that explains it.

I didn’t think so either.

Back to the party.

See that tight basket grip?

Let me tell you why. At the end of the evening, our friends had a raffle. And lest you think the raffle prizes were Cheeze Doodles or guest soaps, I’m here to inform you that no, their raffle prizes were gas cards, and restaurant gift cards, and Southwest Airlines flights and a vacation!

Totally.

We won the Blockbuster card.

Someone had to win it (and thanks guys!).

At the end of the night, there was this:

No, not really.

At the end of the night, my friend told me that they wanted to celebrate because after five years, they were still so happy together.

And I thought that was beautiful.

Then I found my husband and hit him upside his head with that book.

Happy Anniversary M & F!

That is the sweetest thing ever. I’m curious to see what they’ll say at their 15 year anniversary……..when reality sets in. :)

I agree with pajama momma… but they’re off to a great start! And they do look happy together. Sounds like a great party. :)
