Tomorrow (Tuesday, November 1), I’ll be talking about my favorite subject (writing) on my friend (Maegan’s) radio show.
I’ve never been on the radio before (that I recall), so I’m fully expecting my voice to sound mannish (and lispy). Too bad I can’t use my favorite (and over-used) writing technique: parentheses.

Also, I’m pretty sure you’re right about the parentheses, but I do think you can use air quotes because, after all, you will be on the air.
