Can’t Wait to Read

January 3rd, 2009

The Rock got me this for Christmas, and I am beside myself with anticipation. Of course, I need to find a minute or a brain cell in order to read, but I’m looking forward to reclaiming my life as a reader. Also, if you haven’t read it yet, I Know This Much is True, also by Wally Lamb, is absolutely one of my favorite books.

I got it too! Then again, it was one of the only things I asked for ;)

Let’s be a book club ;)

The Rock? He is good.

I loved I Know This Much Is True and She’s Come Undone.

Now I want to read your Christmas gift.

I read the same two Cheri did and loved the books. I’ll wait for one to show up at the library, though. I’m saving my gift cards for massive spending on either books on photography or the blues. Go figure. Total surprise, right? Right.

Let us know how it is…I can’t wait to read it - I’ve read the others and devoured them.

oh man, i’ve been wanting to read that! you’ll have to do a book review. :) and if you haven’t read “she’s come undone” then you should. very heartfelt and sincere portrayal of a woman, written by a man.

(although everytime i consider this, i remember the scene from “as good as it gets” when the blonde asks jack nicholson how he writes women so well, and he says “i think of a man, and then i take away reason and accountability.” i’d like to believe that wally lamb is nothing like jack nicholson’s character in that movie.)
