Here’s my experiment: How to be a better person. Experiments often fail, I know. And so do I at being a better person – the kind of person that always keeps their word, has the best intentions, never gets jealous and only speaks when she has something nice to say.
I see stuff of TV everyday that makes me think everyone is forgetting how to be a better person. I can at least try, right?
I’m going to officially try to be a better person. I have a list. I’m going to follow it. I’ll tell you how I did in detail.
The set-up: I will select one item from the list and do it for a month. I’ll report back often with my experiences and challenges. I’ll finish the month with a lessons learned.
Here we go.
This is my starter list:
- FINALLY forgive old slights
- Meditate
- Surround yourself with growing things
- Practice Yoga
- Eat more fruits and vegetables
- Listen to uplifting music
- Smile at everyone
- Say only positive things all day
- Don’t gossip when you have the chance
- Read poetry
- Make cards for friend and family that tell them how much I love them.
- Give up jealousy
- Give up sarcasm
- Be hopeful
