San Diego Momma

Sharing some humor, a bit of writing and way too much information

Post Coming

Etcetera

I was tempted to leave that headline just sitting there, but I’m too wordy to be terse.

So…

I received a call exactly a week ago that my dad was in the hospital, and I packed it up and hightailed it to where he ended up being still today.

He’s had open heart surgery and seems well-ish, but there’s a climb ahead.

So…

I’m just back in town and will write as I’m wont to do all about the last seven days, and of course post a PROMPT, but wanted to check in and say…

I’m not ignoring you.

And…

I think we should all eat more oatmeal.

Wishing your dad a speedy and quick recovery. I went through a similar situation with my own father a few years ago. So scary. And yes: oatmeal!

Try steel cut oats and I hope that your dad feels a lot better soon.
