PROMPTuesday #148: The Road Less Taken

PROMPTuesdays

Many of my prompts lately have shared the same theme and I hope you’re all cool with that angsty fact. Self-examination is healthy right? Until it becomes obsessive?

Not that I’d know anything about that.

So this week’s prompt comes from a good friend who I love dearly and with every cell. She recently made a tough decision and wonders:

“What choice have you had to make that was right for you but still the hardest thing you’ve had to do?”

Please post your submission in the comments OR post in your blog and leave a link to your blog in the comments.

First time to PROMPTuesday? Read a bit about it here. Want to see what’s been written in the past? Catch up on the PROMPTuesdays archive here.

I guess it’s hard to say… Nothing life changing. But one time it was difficult to leave a job where people felt dependent on me, but it was the best move for me to do at the time. Everything worked out.

This prompt reminded me of an old post. It’s not the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, but here it is anyway:

I quit my job after having my 2nd and 3rd babies and went into business for myself. I was not ready so it was very scary. Especially letting go of government health insurance. But I took the plunge and now, ten plus years later, my business is going strong. I’m paying a buttwad for the private pay health insurance but overall worth it.
