PROMPTuesday #102: I Did Not Know That

Etcetera

And you thought I was classy (Right?): These retail for upwards of $300. Yet I procured them from Goodwill for $12.

You know how you see those Oprahs? And the tear-weary woman being interviewed didn’t know for years that:

a) Her husband was gay

b) Her husband was a woman

c) Her husband was cheating with her best friend

d) She was gay

e) She was cheating on her husband with her best friend

f) Her best friend was gay and her husband and a woman

I can’t help but think of Sandra Bullock here. I mean, she and Jesse James. Such an unlikely pair, but somehow seemed to work. What a rude awakening to discover he was an a-hole of the tallest, raunchiest order.

This leads me to…

Who did you think you knew but didn’t?

Tell me all about it.

For once I get to borrow YOUR shoes! Those are H-O-T hot. You’re holding out on me. Those couldn’t be from the one in Pt. Loma?!

I have a story idea I got from listening to the radio: a woman was reunited with a son she gave up for adoption. She was gushing about how she “knew” him when she saw his face. In the radio story, of course, it was true, but I imagined that he was NOT the son at all, but a criminal out to screw over this incredibly vulnerable old lady. Yeah, I still want to write that one. Where are those spare hours in the day? I know I set them down right over there last week.

Oh, SO many things! I thought a friend was angling for my husband year ago. Turns out she was having an affair with my husband’s BFF and he was helping cover it all up. Yikes!

Ooh, this is a good one! (not to say that they all aren’t but you know what I mean, right?) I’ll have to put some thought into this one! Which will be hard since my head is filled with green goopy sickies. ugh! xo

Visited Del Mar’s shops, businesses, restaurants and bars for the Village’s annual Taste and Sip with closest pals. Highlights: learning about Mezcal at @enfuegocantina, sampling new @lalospirits tequila, catching the sunset at @monarchdelmar, amazing ceviche at @coya_peruvian_secret, and the most delicious gluten-free birthday cake from @shanjo! Recommend this for next year - was the best best most good time.
