PROMPTuesday 101: Slumber Story

PROMPTuesdays

Today’s creative writing prompt is pretty cool, if I do blog so myself.

Check it:

Do you have a vivid or regularly repeating dream that stays in your mind long after you’re awake? Take some elements from this dream (or parts of a bunch of different dreams you remember) and write a story. In a nutshell, narrate your dream.

Please post your submission in the comments OR post in your blog and leave a link to your blog in the comments.

First time to PROMPTuesday? Read a bit about it here.
Want to see what’s been written in the past? Catch up on the PROMPTuesdays archive here.

I used to have a recurring nightmare about a really creepy house that was based on my Grandmother’s house. I haven’t had that dream in years, so I can’t remember what was going on, but of course, I remember the house because it was real. It was at the end of a dead-end street with a deep, shady slate front porch. Inside it had two staircases and rooms that all led into each other. The dream took place outside, but I was always compelled to go to the house.

Didn’t check this til today, bummer. Guess I should check PROMTuesdays on Tuesday! Would love to write about Leo DiCaprio in the shower but now I’m all wiggy about tonight and don’t need to add “hot & bothered” to my emotional potpourri.

Highlights: learning about Mezcal at @enfuegocantina, sampling new @lalospirits tequila, catching the sunset at @monarchdelmar, amazing ceviche at @coya_peruvian_secret, and the most delicious gluten-free birthday cake from @shanjo!
