PROMPTuesday #86: In The Name of Love

PROMPTuesdays

What’s the grossest thing you ever did for somebody because you loved him/her/it?*

*Inspired by this weekend’s toenail-cutting adventure.

Toenail cuttee will remain anonymous to protect my innocent dad.

Oh, I just thought of one, but I think it is even too gross to share here (maybe over a glass of wine, or a martini or something really strong). I’ll have to put more thought into a get back to ya!

I got my Prompt Tuesday in on Monday, which seems to bend the time continuum or something and makes my head hurt.

I have to say, I saw the “blurb” about the toenail cutting adventure, and it tickled and moved me. :-) Will be interesting to read what people choose to share with this prompt!

I was so proud of myself for having something to post based on this. So proud and then, after I was done, I decided to read the actual directions. OK. Forgive me this time? Next time I’ll stick to the rules. I hope I’m still in the running for the free toaster.

Holy Cow. I’ve been away for awhile, but I guess we’re on the same wavelength somehow…I just happened to write one last night that fits this weeks prompt:

I’m not going to post about it (Ack!!!) but truly, among the worst things was when our poor geriatric malamute was ill, before he died, his….er….bowel movements were so icky and he could no longer keep himself clean back there so I had to clean him daily, gently, with a wet cloth. I never again want to become so familiar with a dog’s ass.

Being the nice guy that I am, while my wife was pregnant, she hadn’t been able to clip her toenails, as well as take care of her feet or “trim” other things. So, one sunday, i had her soak her feet, clipped her nails, and used one of those feet sandpaper scraper thingies (scientific I know), and spent an hour grinding away at the soles of her feet. yeah, wasn’t the prettiest sight ever, but I earned major good hubby points that day.
