Cure for the Swine Flu Blues

Etcetera

…Find out that it’s “probably” NOT the swine flu as the pediatrician initially speculated. Learn that it’s “probably” just a virus. Dedicate rest of life to the abolition of the word “probably.”

As a secondary life mission, decide to insist on stuff like swine flu tests because assertive people have more peace of mind.

Probably.

My baby had swine flu. Officially. But unofficially the GP didn’t think it was.

    Stupid government.

When you figure out how to be assertive, let me know the secret. Cause I suck at it too.

I think you’re right. But as a mom, doesn’t it get so exhausting, all that constant assertiveness?? It’s okay to want a break…

You’re probably just as wiped out from the probable virus as your are from the probable swine flu. In fact, you’re probably exhausted.

It’s so confusing. My son and I had a virus that had every hallmark of H1N1 except a fever. Then you read that H1N1 doesn’t always mean a fever. Whatever it is it is one nasty virus.

Rest with her so you don’t get it too.

I type for doctors all-the-live-long-day and it is often surprising to me how much common sense they DO NOT have.

There is such a world of “probable” stuff right now–around here they’re assuming it’s all H1N1 until they feel otherwise! Hope she’s better soon.
