Kitchen Sink

I think I just mixed media metaphors. (And abused alliteration.) BUT, if you live in San Diego and like artsy, indie movies with such as John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph and Maggie Gylenhall, and such as free and such like, then leave a comment here and I will send you no-charge movie tickets for “Away We Go” screenings on Tues., June 9 or Thurs., June 11. Pro-bono as in!

Here’s a trailer. Without elaborating, let’s just say I relate.

OK I’ll elaborate: I’m feeling confused about how to raise my kids right now and should I stay in San Diego? And what’s a family-friendly neighborhood anyway? And am I wrong for not living in the suburbs? And should I move to Montana? And and and…

So there.

You are raising Toots and Booger just fine. If everybody lived in the suburbs, who’d live everywhere else?

You really need to come to my house for lunch and meet my neighbor, Brigid. She has lived in OB, Ramona and Scripps Ranch. Plus she’s a Buddhist and a former teacher. I’ll talk to her if you’re game. She’s the mother of the adorable boys in yesterday’s post.

    A) I’m so bummed that I missed the screening!

    B) Do I have to say it? Home is where the heart is.

    C) You know who to call if you give up that lease. I would LOVE to raise my kids closer to the buzz of the city, warts and all.

(crossing my fingers you stay in San Diego)

Visited Del Mar’s shops, businesses, restaurants and bars for the Village’s annual Taste and Sip with closest pals. Highlights: learning about Mezcal at @enfuegocantina, sampling new @lalospirits tequila, catching the sunset at @monarchdelmar, amazing ceviche at @coya_peruvian_secret, and the most delicious gluten-free birthday cake from @shanjo! Recommend this for next year - was the best best most good time.
