San Diego Momma’s Beauty Tip #The Only One: Wear Shiny Jewelry

Etcetera

UPDATED TO ADD:

Cheri at Blog This Mom! is the winner!

The Kelly Meeker $50 gift certificate giveaway is winding down (kinda like me all day yesterday, but with Egg McMuffins and Ghiradellis) OVER! So don’t forget to enter! Kelly’s offered to give away a $50 gift certificate to her site, applieable (not a word) to beautiful trinkets like this:

This:

Or this:

And that’s just a small sample. There’s too much handcrafted, unique, exquisite, stare-inducing, compliment-getting, hot-enflaming, just plain lovely jewelry to list here.

So if you haven’t entered yet, please do! For the love of all that’s good and beautiful, My God, DO IT! And if you left a comment earlier, but didn’t tell me what jewelry you’d like, you can do it now, and I’ll employ some masterful de-duping process to extract just one entry for the randomizer math whirligig. (I’m an arithmetic novice, but I think I can pull it off. As long as there are no fractions or more than three digits)

Meanwhile, visit Kelly’s site here, see what you like, then come back here and tell me all about it in the comments. (It’d also be real nice if you signed up for her newsletter.) On Monday, Nov. 24 at 5PM PST, I’ll randomly pick a winner of the $50 Kelly Meeker gift certificate. We have a winner!

I’d love old friends, new friends, people I don’t know, lurkers, and mildly crazy occasional readers to all have a crack at this. So don’t be shy.

I think my neck and ear beautification work here is done.

Beautiful! Since purple is my favorite color in the whole wild world, I would get either the amethyst necklace or the amethyst and garnet earrings. Crossing my fingers!

I was away this weekend as you know, or I would have so loved to have celebrated this most auspicious of occasions with you. Hope it was everything you dreamed and more. And now you realize (I know you do) that 40 is just a number and some of us are just beginning new chapters in our 50’s, so there’s miles to go, baby, miles to go…

I’m a little late with the wishes here, too but HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope your party was all things wise and wonderful and I LOVE that you got to meet The Indigo Girls. That’s a great way to turn 40 right there.

I love her stuff. Unfortunately, most of my jewelry consists of painted macaroni, those three pronged clear plastic beads on elastic thread, and whatever craft we are working on in Friday Fun Centers. And sometimes I’m wearing it on my ass.

    sigh.
