I’m not giving PROMPTuesday up, by God! I almost wrote I’d be taking a hiatus, but no sir, I’m hanging onto the end with my near and dear. So in the spirit of keeping on with the keeping on, today’s creative writing prompt is:
This one time in high school…
I like the idea of taking the very first thing that occurs to you when you say the above to yourself and writing it down.
A few caveats:
1) Keep it to 500 words or less.
2) Don’t take any longer than 10 minutes to write.
3) Do not edit, censor or finesse your prose.
4) Let it come.

I love this one. So many good stories from high school. Too bad I’ve blogged most of them already. The first one that comes to mind is the fart on the phone story- oh I’ve gotten a lot of miles out of that one. Will try to come up with something.
