Please to enjoy the fuzzy and dismal quality of this sub-par video.
I pointedly chose this writing exercise today because I’ve been horribly awful keeping up with anything fun this summer. Although I haven’t had the minutes to visit the prompt submissions and generally contribute, I don’t want to abandon these prompts because they’re woven into my blog’s fabric so intimately.
So, an easy one: What did you do last night?
I seem to find that in writing minutiae something profound or telling usually emerges, but even if not, just off-the-top-of-your-head write what you did last evening. If it was make dinner, great, write it. If it was work, write it down. Did you just sit there (lucky), get it on paper. Simply write the details and see what comes. If it’s nothing big, so what. It’s summer for God’s sake.
A few caveats:
1) Keep it to 500 words or less.
2) Don’t take any longer than 10 minutes to write.
3) Do not edit. censor or finesse your prose.
4) Let it come.
Please post your submission in the comments OR post in your blog and leave a link to your blog in the comments.

This is a great prompt, but after two weeks catering to two sets of visitors and playing tour guide, I’m brain dead. All I can remember about last night is a margarita, a pretty dang good bowl of spaghetti with salmon, and watching a Netflix movie with my last guest on her final night…Now I must sleep, for Thursday yet another guest is set to arrive. I think we seriously need to raise our rates.

Why do I love thee? Let me count the ways:
1. You posted this Sheena Easton video.
And really, that’s enough.

I drank wine, ate chocolate, wrote a blog post (which was my excuse to not fold laundry, and watched So You Think You Can Dance. A perfect night, really.
