Sharing some humor, a bit of writing and way too much information

Wyoming. A Heartbreak Story.

That’s my dad on the right. NOT the Big Jerk. This picture was taken about four years after the Big Jerk incident. There is no reason this photo is here. Other than the Big Jerk does not deserve to be pictorally represented.   In the sultry late summer of 1993, I packed up my…Continue Reading

The Walking Dead

It’s IndieInk Writing Challenge day! This one comes from Miss Ash, who prompted a quote from the book Little Bee: “I could not stop talking because now I had started my story, it wanted to be finished. We cannot choose where to start and stop. Our stories are the tellers of us.”   And so…Continue Reading

PROMPTuesday #144: Return to the Classics

Boy. First of all, I’m LATE. I know. It’s Wednesday. Secondly, I haven’t updated much lately. I’ve been other places, but still. I miss my space here. Thirdly, I am once again re-running a “Greatest Hits” prompt. This one originally came from May, 2009. But I love it, I really do, and I plan to…Continue Reading

I sit here with a high-fevered little girl and to-do list stuffed to the gills…so I am re-running a PROMPTuesday from many moons ago. I hope you find it enjoyous.   Today’s PROMPTuesday is lifted from Naomi Epel’s The Observation Deck, and is:   Show, don’t tell! — a cardinal rule of writing —…Continue Reading

Funnest birthday/holiday celebration yesterday! Vi Funnest birthday/holiday celebration yesterday! Visited Del Mar’s shops, businesses, restaurants and bars for the Village’s annual Taste and Sip with closest pals. Highlights: learning about Mezcal at @enfuegocantina, sampling new @lalospirits tequila, catching the sunset at @monarchdelmar, amazing ceviche at @coya_peruvian_secret, and the most delicious gluten-free birthday cake from @shanjo! Recommend this for next year - was the best best most good time.
